This is our family taken on Christmas Eve 1999
Started (so far) by John Quirk b.1826 and Mary Forbes b.1825 both from County Cork Ireland and Immigrated to Heckscherville, PA around 1842.
Quirk according to Webster:
quirk (kwurk) n. 1. a) a sudden twist, turn or
stroke (a quirk of fortune) b) a flourish in writing 2. an
evasion subterfuge, or quibble. 3. a peculiarity, peculiar trait,
or mannerism. 4. [Now Rare] a clever turn of speech: sally; quip
5. Archit. a groove running lengthwise in a molding.
but then again what the hell does Webster know?
All of the entry was done by Michael John Quirk (That's Me)
but most of the research is credited to my father Francis John Quirk. and a host
of others.
John Quirk has been found thanks to Sandy Kearns (granddaughter).
Please check later for future updates containing this additional
information. There is a lesson here to be learned, always make
back ups, keep them current, and verified. My hard drive failed
and the back-ups failed also. Now I have to rekey all of data
again!!!! There was also a Patrick Quirk b.1858 with no
additional records on him.
